Vanderbilt Country Club Hosts 7th Annual Dining for Diapers

Vanderbilt Country Club hosted the 7th annual Dining for Diapers. Guests went to private homes for wine and appetizers then met at the Club for dinner and dancing to the music of local singing artist Daniel Melvin. All the delicious food was donated by local restaurants.. Vanderbilt CC members have raised over$45,000 for Baby Basics at the Dining for Diapers Events.

Thank You Volunteers!

Thanks to the many hands that helped to move over 200,496 diapers to six different distribution sites for Baby Basics. These wonderful volunteers worked hard so that 315 babies each month can have the diapers they need for the next four months. A special thanks to Mimi Skilling who quietly works behind the scenes figuring out how many diapers to order, where they go and also keeping track of which sites need what sizes. We could not do the program without her skillful assistance. Again Vanderbilt volunteers step up to do a huge job with humor and care for others.

When? January 26, 2013–Registration begins at 8:30 am.

Where? North Collier Regional Park in Naples.

Remember:

100% of the Baby Basics operating budget buys diapers and Baby Basics is a 501(c) (3) all volunteer organization.
To qualify for the program parents must be working and not receive federal or state cash assistance.
$40 will diaper one baby for one month while $240 will diaper one baby for six months.
Currently, Baby Basics assists 315 babies out of the over 1,500 babies in our community who qualify for the Baby Basics program.

BNY Mellon Supports Baby Basics Annual Fashion Show

BNY Mellon’s Preston Came presented a check for $1000 to Jean Ann Lynch President of Baby Basics. BNY Mellon is one of the sponsors for the Annual Fashion Show which was held at Dillard’s on November 12. This is the second year in which BNY Mellon has generously sponsored this event.

The Fashion Show was attended by over 160 women who were treated to a delicious brunch and a fabulous fashion parade. Dillard’s also provides a 10% discount on all store merchandise and then gave 10% of all the shopping proceeds back to Baby Basics. We are most grateful to our generous sponsors.

Baby Basics Walking Challenge will be held January 26, 2013 at the North Collier Regional Park. More information is forthcoming. This will be a new and different event for us because we will just be hosting a walk.

The Women’s Club of Naples is hosting a Kitchen Tour is January 23, 2013. More information is forthcoming. A portion of the proceeds will go to Baby Basics of Collier County.
